Property management resources
If you take back management of your unit, you may wish to engage a licensed property manager. The coalition does not endorse any specific company — use these to find and vet your own.
We are also sourcing a group property manager
Just as we are interviewing litigation counsel, the coalition is preparing to interview and select a licensed property management company to manage units collectively, on behalf of the whole group. Negotiating as one large portfolio gives us far more leverage on fees and service levels than any single investor could ever get alone — and it keeps every unit under consistent, accountable management.
You have two options: wait for the group's selection, or engage your own manager in the meantime. Either way, we suggest avoiding a long-term contract until you have seen the group's terms.

Questions to ask a property manager
Ask for their licence number, their experience managing single units (not just buildings), their fee structure, how they handle rent collection and deposits, how they issue notices under the Residential Tenancies Act, and who handles maintenance. Get it in writing.
